Start spreading the news...

Ok.. well, I'm not exactly leaving TODAY, but close enough.

I'm going back. Back to NYC. Third time this year. That's really saying something for a single Mom school teacher in the South. But, the "Mothership New York" keeps calling me home.

Yep, I live in New Orleans. And in New Orleans, the revealry of Mardi Gras is enough to cancel school for a week (I guess the kids need the time to get over their hangovers before school starts again). So, as the rest of the nation is…

There were dozens of kids on stage. They looked GREAT.

However, all was NOT well, and a cold water reality was about to hit…

One Short Day in NYC (literally..almost)

The countdown has begun. In just about 50 not-so-short days, I will embark on the shortest trip to NYC that is known to man..

Fate called me on my cellphone, and it turns out that my presence is needed in Albany, NY over the second weekend in December. So, I will be flying up from New Orleans for a reunion of sorts and to sign some books (don't ask...just don't. It's not nearly as impressive as it sounds.) Well, there is no way that I can be THAT close to NYC and not feel the…
