About Me:

Hey everyone! My name is Sarah Shaiman and I'm 16 years old. I'm a junior at W.T. Clarke High School and musical theater is my passion. It is my absolute dream to be on broadway! I've had a love for music and performing since I was 3 years old because my parents are both musicians.
In my freshman year at my school I got the part of Rosemary in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying". Last year I played the role of Ruth Condomine in Noel Coward's "Blithe Spirit", and Crystal in "Little Shop of Horrors." This year i played the role of Lucy Van Pelt in "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" and I am currently performing in "The Drowsy Chaperone" as Janet van de Graaff.
During the summer I go to Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, where i major in musical theater. I've been going there since I was 5 years old. Three summers ago I played the Tinman in "The Wiz". I have been a proud member of the Musical Reperatory Company at Usdan for two summers now, in which i was in the ensemble of "Me and My Girl" and just this summer played the role of Mrs. Tottendale in "The Drowsy Chaperone".
I've been taking dance lessons since I was 4 years old; Ballet, Jazz/Hip-Hop, Tap, and Lyrical. Last summer I won 2nd place(originally tied for 1st) in the Reach for the Stars singing competition in Eisenhower Park. Because of that i was invited to sing the National Anthem at a NY Islanders game on November 27th, 2009!
