Profile Information

I Am A...
Writer, Director, Producer
About Me:
Director-playwright-lyricist-acting coach-producer and artistic director of Chameleon Theatre Co., Ltd., a small but growing 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 1988.

Our most recent production, "Play the Music Softly" was performed in a concert version at Opia on East 57th Street in Manhattan. Previous productions include: "Vacation Bible School: the Musical," by Tammy Smith, played 4 "souled-out" performances at the Kraine Theater in October 2006 and is being revised and expanded for Off Broadway.

"This show has something to offend absolutely everyone: Catholics, Protestants of all denominations, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Mormons and atheists...liberals, conservatives, reactionaries...men, women...straight, gay, undecided...and hamsters!

"It is also snort-out-loud-laughing, pee-in-your-pants-funny!"

We've also presented "An Evening with T.S. Eliot," featuring his 'scenes from an Agon..."Sweeney Agonistes," and Tennessee Williams' "Vieux Carre'," as well as "Anything for a Laff!" and "That Jones Boy! (or, the Adventures of a Bastard," a musical comedy of manners adapted from Henry Fielding's classic novel, "Tom Jones."

Originally from northern Kentucky near Cincinnati, I came to NYC in 1978 by way of the Deep South where I worked in regional and community (as a paid guest artist) theatre. In just over 35 years, I've worked on something more than 150 productions in all capacities: actor, stage manager, designer, publicist, producer, director, and choreographer.

I am currently seeking co-producers to help mount workshops and fully staged productions of the various musicals we currently have in development.
