There are too many things to adore about A LiIttle Night Music. First of all, Stephen Sondheim is a genius. Everything he does is wonderful! It's also the deep passion throughout the story that makes me want to squel whenever the show is mentioned. Also, Send In The Clowns is packed with such emotion that you can't sit down when you listen to. You MUST give it a standing ovation each time! And ,lastly, Angela Lansbury is in the cast! What could be better than that?

Thank You Sondheim for maing A LIttle Night Music phenominal!

Everyone in this cast has incredible broadway voices, something we haven't seen for a while as they have sadly been replaced by the pop broadway that is popular today. One of the most talented casts that I can think of in recent history, amazing!

I have to say my favorite part of "A Little Night Music" is definitely the magic that comes with the music. "Send in the Clowns" sends chills down my spine every time I hear it. However, that's not saying a lot. Just playing Stephen Sondheim would send chills down anyone's spine. I do believe that this kind of show is what Broadway is built on. With "A Little Night Music", you could take away all the costumes, lights, and set. A show like this could survive with just a piano and the music.

I believe that the music is my favorite part. Stephen Sondheim is one of the most talented composers ever, from the dark Sweeney Todd to the humerous and heart-moving Into the Woods, he's captured the hearts of many broadway lovers. As well, this show has a phenominal cast! Alexander Hanson (Marguerite and We Will Rock You) brilliantly lives up to Len Cariou's standards and Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago movie as Velma) makes an outstanding broadway debut with the show-stopping ballad "Send in the Clowns" sung by Desiree Armfeldt, the daughter of Madame Armfeldt, portrayed by Angela Lansbury. Which brings me to my last favorite thing about this show, Angela Lansbury. When I heard she was going to be in this show, I freaked out. I have loved Angela Lansbury ever since her movie debut in "Gaslight". It very much warmed my heart to hear that she was back on broadway doing something she has made an outstanding profession in.

I adore everything about this show and I would love to have a signed copy of the cast recording I saw the OBC in 1973 when I was in high school and it has always been a favorite. I can't wait to bring my daughter (now a theatre student) to see this production. We desperately wanted to come to the CD signing but she couldn't miss school. Stephen Sondheim, Angela Landsbury and Catherine Zeta Jones - what could be better!

I haven't had the privilege to see A Little Night Music yet, but with the pictures I've seen, videos I've watched and articles I've read I must say that whoever designed the costumes did a fabulous job. I personally feel like my costume helps me really bring my character to life-I LOVE costumes and I have to say that these are beautiful.

I took my high school theatre students to New York City last month and although we couldn't get tickets to the show, we did stand at the stage door afterward to meet the cast. Ms. Zeta-Jones was so gracious to them as she signed their play advertisements! It was a wonderful introduction for them to the magical star-studded world of Broadway.
