Profile Information

I Am A...
Fan, Actor, Singer, Student
About Me:
I am a 16-year-old actress and singer. I have seen about 11 shows including: Les Miz, Cats, Spamalot, Evita, Rent and Aida. The reason I really have gotten into Broadway is because my dream is to be Christine in the Phantom of the Opera, whether on the tour, or, if I'm REALLY lucky, Broadway. Now, I know my chances of that are like zip, but I still want to work as hard as I can, because for some reason, it just seems right. I think I'll end up being what I'm supposed to be by folowing this dream. And, who knows? I could end up being lucky, and getting a chance to play her. One chance is all I ask for. You know what I mean?
My Favorite Shows:
1. The Phantom of the Opera
2. (tied) Jekyll and Hyde, Les Miz,
3. Beauty and The Beast
4. (tied) Sweeney Todd, Miss Saigon, Evita, Cats
5. Carousel
and, there's ALOT more, but I don't want to take up too much room ;)
The Show I Want To See Next:
Wicked, Spring Awakening and The Little Mermaid
My Favorite Actors:
Gary Mauer, Lea Salonga, John Owen-Jones
My Favorite Writer/Composer:
Stephen Schwartz, Maury Yeston and Andrew Lloyd Webber
My Favorite Shows/Roles I’ve Done
I'm currently in my first Opera, (as part of the ensemble) All I really do is stand there and make it look like there are people on the stage, but it's a ton of fun (hey, I get to watch the opera for free! :)
Current Occupation
Student/Actress

Hi Sarah,

Hey, where were you the night BEFORE the 9/11 attacks? A play called 9/10, at the MRT in august, explores this question. (Just thought I'd throw that in)

Well I thought they went okay i only read for the youngest girl, which is reasonable, but cast list went up and im just on crew for Lost in Yonkers but it's all good. i'm still waiting on another cast list for a play called Trojan Women, and then there's still Chicago and our spring musical left. :) excited.
Have you auditioned for anything at school yet?

aww no shows in the summer, a 3 month break from theatre really sucks. But that happened to some of my school's seniors too. Good luck with senior year!! I'm just a sophomore... i still feel like a freshman though, its so weird seeing younger people at school.
And today, we had an audition for 2 different shows that we'll try to work on almost simultaniously and they're opening nights are a month apart (wow can you say stress?) We're doing Steel Magnolias and Lost in Yonkers, really depressing stuff. I hope our spring musical is more uplifting... lol. Callback list goes up tomorrow, yikes!!

hey hows it been? haha.
the pajama game went pretty well. the only horrible that that happened was that the big theatre critic of the city came to see it during our worst show... so many things went wrong. lol. we were all crying pretty much, afraid that she'd write a bunch of crap about us, but she didnt. but it was fun and i miss the show :(
i started school august 25th. man i'm REALLY glad to be back.... haha. but we're already having auditions next week for two of our plays, it's crazy!
so whats new with you?

Hi Sarah,

I am delighted that you would like to be my friend. The feeling is mutual! We certainly have many of the same theater interests and I will take a closer look at your discussions, etc. I look forward to corresponding with you.

I am a big fan of The Light in the Piazza, Urinetown, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom and Jeckyll and Hyde. And when I view all of your groups, I imagine that there are other shows that we share a love for in common.

With my very best wishes, and sending you my thoughts for good luck, Your friend, Beth

aahaha it was really great : ) we made a few minor mistakes, but everything else appearantly was good, the audience loved it. except 2 old people who left 10 minutes into the show saying it was "too dirty"... they threw their programs at the producer! and we had our second show a few hours ago, and it was even better. but for some reason, the audience always laughs at the end of the first act when Sid fires Babe. They LAUGH! That's like the most heartbreaking point in the show. haha. yet another show later today.
anything happening with you?

Yay that's the spirit! hahaha. I love that song too. Good luck at the audition! And we open in 2 days, it's pretty exciting :) Luckily we've been doing pretty good so far.

Yeah it's a great show so far, but I don't know if it's amazing haha. But I don't know if I'm really having fun... alot of the people in the cast are loud, and they complain alot like they dont want to be there, and they are a really touchy-feely group.... lol and I'm not like them at all. I just feel kind of out of place, and it's a little lonely, my school friends also are too busy to remember me. Haha but I love being onstage so that kind of makes up for it. We open in a week!
Oh and I know how that feels.... going a long time without doing a show... I had a break that lasted almost year... I almost cracked. Hahaha. But good luck, what do you think you'll be singing for the audition?
