AH I KNOW! WAY TOO LONG!

that. is. too. weird. what!? well i mean good for her for being the singer and all but still i don't like that. i'm glad you got the solo! =) how is everything else?

i ended up dropping out. the night before. =/ not my best moment professionally, but i got cut from ALL of the numbers except for my solo because i missed a bunch of rehearsals for cheer. but they had known about my conflicts for FOUR MONTHS. like, before they even knew that they were doing the revue, they knew about my schedule. and they promised me that i would get to be in all of the numbers and get all of my solos and stuff. and then THE NIGHT BEFORE THE SHOW they are like "oh well you missed rehearsal so you can't be in it". i called my dad to pick me up, went up to the director and explained that i felt that i had been abused and lied to and that it wasn't fair to me that i spent so much time outside of their rehearsals and at my lessons to get to be in the numbers and then i was cut  without any reasonable explanation, considering that they had made their promises with my conflicts in mind. the director started screaming at me and telling me that this was super unprofessional, but like, you're the reason for this! i wouldn't be quitting if you had kept your promises and understood my time management! so i just walked away. and i haven't been to the studio since. (i'm still bitter if you can't tell).

but it's been worth it. cheer has been SO much fun, and i got cast as johanna in my school's production of sweeney todd! which is going to be amazing but SO much work considering that i am not a soprano. but i'm hitting this awkward second voice change and i'm becoming a soprano. it's really weird. but i'm doing pretty well with the part, considering i've only been working on it for two weeks.

ok so we didnt end up doing spelling bee. I KNOW WHAT THE HELL RIGHT?!? we're doing a revue instead. whatevssss. im a little bitter.

and ive seen one episode (the one where the midget had to sing gives you hell and the main song was "we're not gonna take it"?) but i liked it and i wanna watch more. i'm guessing you do?

there's another show on called "dance moms". oh. my. freaking. God. it's insane! it's on lifetime so it's like over-the-top reality tv but DEAR LORD it's fantastic and i love it. there are like the little 7 year olds who are super amazing but they put them in like lingerie and have them touching themselves and stuff like that and the teacher (WHOS SO EVIL BUT I LOVE HER) refers to them as "prostitots". it's just that amazing.

i DIED when i saw it on tv! i was like "I SHARED A STAGE WITH GLEE!!! HAHAHA!" i was sooo proud =) haha. so how's your life going? anything new and theatre-y and fresh? haha

i know!!! and it's hard cuz when you do shows where you're obviously the best you don't improve really. which is tough, because you always want to improve. but then when you're the worst you improve a lot, but you don't get to show it off because since you're the worst you're not showcased. oh, the drama of theatre.

 

woahhhhh. crazy. speaking of glee, ya know in the pilot when the glee club goes and watches vocal adrenaline perform "rehab"? well they filmed rehab at a theatre in my area, and i'm doing my dance recital there tomorrow so we've had tech rehearsals there, and MATTHEW MORRISON SIGNED THE BACK WALL! and right next to his signature is JRB's because he performed there a few years ago!!!!! so of course i totally freak out whenever i change back there haha. just a random thing that's been totally making my week.

 

but back to your topic... it's SHOW choir. not dead people choir. people do show choir cuz they want to put on a SHOW. it's supposed to be flashy and loud and high energy! not like a funeral march!

isn't that how it always works though?? where you either feel like you're way better than everyone else or you're way worse? that's how i usually feel. or like that i deserve it way more than anyone else cuz i'm working so much harder than anyone else. that makes me sound so bad. sorry.

i totally agree. and especially since it's show choir and not all of it is blending! i mean watch glee for heaven's sakes! rachel and mercedes are belting their faces off the entire time! that's what they're known for! and that's such a good song =)
