Why limit yourself at all? How does protest exist in theatre at large? In plays like Inherit the Wind? In musicals like The Cradle Will Rock? How does performance art differ? What kinds of results can you get? You're going to spend a year researching this, you want something you can really delve deep into.

I feel like all of those topics are rather obvious. Of course posture is important, of course pilates helps, of course classical training is the basis for everything. If you wanted to expand your options, you might want to talk about classical training in terms of acting, singing and dancing, and look at how they relate to each other and strengthen the performer all around. But how much research will you have to do to prove that training in classical music makes your MT singing better? It's kind of a given.

Why don't you look at something in terms of history and how shows being written now have both changed with the times and also de-volved back to pre-Show Boat entertainment. How about looking at trends in theatre to find cycles and predict what will come next? What direction is non-musical theatre moving in versus what direction musical theatre is moving in? How does the sudden surge of mixed media in entertainment (from plays to musicals to operas to ballets) change the form and our idea of what it can do?

If it's your senior thesis you want to pick a topic that actually has some meat to it, something you'll be able to do some real research on and end up with a product that you can be proud of.
