I've Started A Movement

There are too many of us who are embarrassed to admit we break out into show tunes just walking down the street. Well, no more. We're taking back the streets. Click here to watch a promotional video for my new book :

Recorded Books

I've just signed the contract for the Recorded Books version of ATTACK OF THE THEATER PEOPLE. Hopefully, the company will ask Jeff Woodman to record it because he did the best job reading HOW I PAID FOR COLLEGE. He sounds exactly like the voices in my head do, which is kind of creepy in a stalkerish way.

BLURBS FROM STEPHEN SCHWARTZ AND JEFF MARX

Forgive my excitement but I just received word that Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked, Pippin and Godspell) and Jeff Marx (co-creator of Avenue Q) have blurbed my new book, ATTACK OF THE THEATER PEOPLE.

Schwartz said, "Sort of an east coast Tales of the City, this over-the-top yet scarily accurate burlesque of theatre folk rampaging through ‘80s Manhattan caused me gasps of appalled recognition and frequent laughing out loud. It's the kind of book where you read passages to fri… Continue

Pub Date Pushed Forward

April 22 is the new pub date for ATTACK OF THE THEATER PEOPLE, my long awaited sequel to HOW I PAID FOR COLLEGE: A Novel of Sex, Theft, Friendship and Musical Theater.

If HOW I PAID FOR COLLEGE is my love letter to all the theater geeks in the world who band together to get through high school, then ATTACK OF THE THEATER PEOPLE is about what happens when the curtain comes down, the lights come up and reality sets in. Of course, since Edward Zanni and friend… Continue

Marc, I am looking for a copy of DO You Know What It's Like from ZANNA DON'T and someone suggested I contact you. Do you know how I can purchase a copy of this quartet?

Thanks,
Allison

Marc, I finally got a copy of How I Paid For College and Attack of the Theater People. Of course I'm reading on order so as far as I am in How I Paid For College, it's great. I can't help but laugh because it is basically the life of my one friend and I. Mad Props on the book so far. I'll let you know how I like both when I finish both

Just preordered Attack of the Theater People!
As I write this, my friend and I are sitting in my room doing cold readings out of monologue books.
I don't think we could be truer to these books if we tried, and I love it.

Hey thanks for the add =).

How I Paid For College was amazing. Especially the running joke with A Chorus Line through it cause that's my favorite show. I didn't even know there was a sequel & now I'm REALLY excited for it!
