I'm a die hard fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. I've seen it many, many times in seven different cities. I've had a blast meeting the wonderful performers in the casts. Recently I've taken an interest in makeup and wigs, as one can see in my photos. I love a wide variety of Broadway shows aside from POTO, and enjoy talking Broadway with just about anyone! :)
Phantom of the Opera, Crazy For You, My Fair Lady, 1776, Les Mis, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, The Producers, Avenue Q, The Wedding Singer, Oklahoma!, Forbidden Broadway, Spamalot, Wicked, Rent, The Sound of Music

Hi Lindsey, Thanks for the reply. Yeah, been in the works for some time - well in the THINKING and PLANNING stages. I've longed for a DECENT PRACTICAL book on stage makeup for a long time other than the $110 Corson book. Actually I have every edition. Started collecting them some time ago. Have the 1st through the 9th which is the last one unless someone else takes it up since Corson died. BUT I've seen so MANY BAD theater makeup books, it doesn't hardly get taught anywhere even in college, and I've seen so much BAD makeup over the years that I decided somebody HAD to do something about it. There are a few relatively decent to OK books but not that I would call complete enough. I've seen some of the latest by women who have these big shot credentials, associate professors in colleges here and there, BUT were mainly COSTUMERS but who dabbled a bit in makeup work. Well they are HORRID books on the subject and I felt it was about time to try to do something practical, relatively easy to understand and apply, and not so bloody expensive no-one could afford it....who needs it. So we'll see. Might be a couple years still but it is in the works slowly. LOTS to think about.
ANYway, thanks for the response. Glad to see you over here.
