Kirsten Carmody's Stage

Profile Information

I Am A...
Actor, Singer, Dancer
About Me:
Dream Job: I want to be on BROADWAY!!

I also want to play Belle on the Disney Dream cruise ship. If anyone knows anybody...!!!

My Backstory...
Kirsten Carmody has been an actress from day one! At just four years old she announced her ambitions to the world, - ok well maybe just her parents and teachers. At six she made her stage debut as "The Hat seller" in "Hats for Sale." Not only did that spark her love for stage time, but also her collection of strange hats. ...

Nearly 20 years later, Kirsten is still snagging great roles, and still loving every minute of it. She holds a BFA in Music Theater, Dance Minor from Jacksonville University, and is a proud member of Actor's Equity.

Kirsten could most recently be seen as Belle in New Orleans, LA. for JPAS's production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

In Jacksonville, Kirsten recently graced the Alhambra Dinner Theater's stage as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz - during which she acquired the most lovable cairn terrier named Toto. As she grew older, Kirsten's versatility allowed her to play everything from a whiney Ermengarde in Hello Dolly to a seductive Kit Kat Club dancer in Cabaret.

Shortly after moving to FL, Kirsten began acting in commercials, industrial videos and films. At fourteen she starred in "Coyotes" as "Nora" a young teen who was trying to fit in with her father's nomadic lifestyle. Kirsten grew up in a nomadic lifestyle, as her father was a Commander in the U.S. Navy! She moved all over the U.S.
Coyotes won Audience Favorite and Best Full Length Feature film at Palm Springs International Film Festival and SCAD film festival. Continuing the theme of strange hats in Kirsten's life - as a promotion of Coyotes Film Festival workers wore black baseball caps that had coyote ears sticking out of them.

Kirsten performed as a guest soloist alongside Broadway Stars such as Brad Little, Ray McLeod, Rita Harvey, and Carter Calvert, in Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway. She has trained with Marni Nixon,(voice of Maria in Westside Story, and Eliza in My Fair Lady movies) Rob Clare, (Royal Shakespeare Company) at JU workshops and Patsy Swayze at her Simi Valley Studio (Great choreographer and dance teacher and Yes, Patrick's Mom.)

Many industrial videos, commercials, and independent films later, Kirsten's career is still going strong . She was recently featured in two episodes of America's Most Wanted. Once as a hippie, and once as a teenager from New York in 1985.

She has come a long way from the two pounds, two ounces, - three months premature baby whom doctor's thought was deaf and blind!
