About Me:
I am the theatre major at Kansas State University, in love with broadway musicals! My dream is to be a part of a Broadway show, whether I be on the stage, behind it, or helping make the whole thing happen!

I've played: Mrs. Frank (Diary of Anne Frank), Chris G. (Rumors), Meg Boyd (Damn Yankees), Domina (A Funny Thing...Forum), and various roles in Metamorphoses
I've directed: a ten minute scene from The Odd Couple in high school
I've designed: an entire costume, set, and lighting design for Biedermann and the Firebugs (class project)
I've assistant stage managed: KSU's production of Once Upon a Mattress
I've dressed: KSU '09 Opera Die Fledermaus

The Show I Want To See Next:
Almost everything on my list, but big ones are Next to Normal and In the Heights, since they're actually on Broadway right now.
My Favorite Actors:
Anthony Rapp, and I can't pick a second cause I love so many!
My Favorite Writer/Composer:
I don't have a favorite writer, because I've never found a composer whose work is consistently awesome in my opinion. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Sondheim are close.

ASMing is always a wonderful learning experience. One thing I learned: I'm not a good stage manager, haha! But, here's the good thing for actors if you ARE a good stage manager... they're both in the same union. In general I think this is a terrible idea, because directors give their out-of-work actor friends jobs stage managing Equity shows, and the actors don't know what to do AND take work away from experienced stage managers. But if you're an actor who's also a good SM, you'll have very little trouble finding work.

I had a wonderful time at Marymount and met some of the most talented people I know. And, yes, that analogy was perfect! I remember seeing someone in an audition once who was so good, I called her back trying desperately to see if I had something for her, and I had nothing. I felt so bad, because she was SO good. I just didn't have a role for her.
