Broadway wins!

Hey all, I just got back from Orlando where I took first place at the 2008 International Karaoke Superstar Contest. 48,000 people from all over the US entered. I sang When You're Good to Mama and Cabaret. 2nd and 3rd place winners both sang country so this just goes to show that ya can't beat Broadway!

Actor's Theatre in Grand Rapids, MI to produce my one-woman, BLACK MONA LISA

YEA! I met with Kyle, the new head of Actor's Theatre, yesterday. They are developing a Super Commity involving all the theatres in the area for art and education. I did a one-woman show in college a couple years back and had the DVD passed around by prominent people in the theatre community. Kyle said it was great and Asked in Actor's could produce it. Of course I said YES! It will be produced sometime during their next season. Hope to see you there!

I was there back in the 80's. I went to Dayton Christian and we had an annual track meet there every year. I'm sure it has changed tremendously since then!

Hey to the Hey Jules,

It's my autobiographical tale of being forced by my stepfather to be in that religon that rhymes with "Tehovah's Sitnesses" -then at age 15 moving in with my real Dad not knowing he was a pimp! I went from don't do nothin' to do everything in nothing flat. It's definitely a comedy. I essentially play 15 characters. The show contains 3 original tunes (opening, close, exiting tune) plus a nice chunck of music licensed from Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind & Fire, Roy Ayers, Donna Summer, Sly & The Family Stone and a couple more. I sing a little in the show - but I dance a LOT in the show. go to www.myspace.com/donreednow to find out a little more. Ran for 5 months here in LA. Aligning things to come to NYC in late June.

Hi Jules,
Welcome to BroadwaySpace. I would like to invite you to stop by my stage and give a listen to "Empty Seats" a digital songbook of some numbers from my first set of musicals. You'll find it on the right side of my stage if you scroll down a bit. Let me know what you like. I know you will love BroadwaySpace!

Diggin' those broad credits my friend, Lady McBeth, Lady Cappulett. Fully establishing the "no limits' on a goddess of color.

Loving that perspective.

I'll be in NYC soon with my one man show EAST 14TH at New World Stages in Times Square.

shine big, live wide,

Don
