About Me:
I really hate having dry, cracked heels. I have a dead bonsai on my windowsill which makes me sad. I own a replica of Severus Snape's wand (but it doesn't work). My dog buries things under the couch cushions so be careful sitting down if you come over for coffee. She once buried a lump of cheese under my pillow. Sigh. I have been known to recite the opening paragraph of Lorem Ipsum when under the influence. I enjoy laughing at things that other people don't think are funny. I never obsess about anything. I like cushions (preferably without cheese), lying in bed and listening to magpies warbling in the Australian dawn. The years are advancing a little too rapidly for my liking so I have decided that the next decade is for me to do things on 'the list' before I croak it. I used to collect teapots but many of the spouts broke off - which is a little disturbing if you squint, look at the situation sideways and adopt a Freudian outlook.
I have made too many mistakes in my life to get overly upset about them. Handy, really, because I keep messing up. I think marriage can be fun if you sit in the corner and rock while imagining your happy place and hugging a plushie. I question the wisdom of bringing more children into such a disturbed and unstable world. I wish I had enough money to pay off all my loved ones' mortgages and buy myself a Mini Cooper but until then people will just have to make do with a nice cup of tea and a biscuit. Opera scares me, and country music makes me pee. I honestly think I would do anything for Trent Reznor. I have three tattoos, one of which is the Equus poster artwork which I had done coincidentally and without reference to anything to do with Mr Radcliffe and his role in the play. I lie very badly. I believe that if you put your knickers on backwards it is going to be a very bad day, so I try not to do that. I once lay down in a big hole in my backyard to see what it would be like to be dead. It was very boring and I got an ant bite somewhere I won't mention so I won't be doing that again. I live in the hope of seeing rain again one day. I live in the only island continent which is not nearly a wizzy enough reason to keep me here and for ten cents I would jump a plane out... but I would come home eventually. I fight snakes, spiders and sharks on a daily basis and speak fluent cockatoo. My backyard houses several kangaroos, a mob of sheep and a sack full of koalas. I had an emu but I gave it away. It is distinctly possible that I have eaten more flies than a person should. I should never be allowed near a keyboard without supervision. I vote left, believe in collective bargaining and retention of workers rights. As a teacher, I am overworked, underpaid and undervalued but I still keep doing it which begs the question.I love laminating things and sticking them on my fridge. I'm getting close to needing a bigger fridge. When the world saddens me, I remember the common housefly. I have no idea why I do that but it makes me think of something else other than the sad world thing. And now I am going to bed.

Hey Dee, have you booked your tickets as yet? Don't know if/when I'll be going at this stage.... from what I've read, the seats are heaps pricier than for London.

I love anyone who loves Alan Rickman! He's just the hottest, most talented man. My favorite line, one of them . . ."Give me an occupation, Miss Dashwood or I shall mad."

Wow! That voice, that body . . . what a man!

Hey Dee, I don't think I responded to your second message - I am hoping to travel to NYC around October/November, all being well. Depends on a few things though, work and my partner (he's not keen for me to go at all :(

A lot of people have told me that Broadway tickets are a lot harder to get than the West End ones, so I'm a little less confident, but hoping that Jenna from dr.com has an NYC ticket purchase similar to the Delfont Mackintosh for London.

Cheers,
Jo

Hi everyone, I just got here for the first time. YAY!!! Having a fit yesterday hearing that Dan was in town to do a celebrity cricket match and I was stuck in my office all day. Thank GOD, that was all just rumor.

As for Equus, I live in L.A. so I'm hoping to get to NY to see the play. Wish I could've made it to London but...

Jo, I would love to see your Word.doc on the experience. pleeeeezeee....

Hi! I saw it on May 9 (matinee) then went to the stage door - waited before the evening performance ended to get pole position, and was lucky enough to chat with Dan and get his autograph and a few pics. I was killing myself for not seeing it twice - even a back row seat would've been good and I noticed that not all the stage seats were taken at the matinee I attended (I was at the end - right side - of the front row - he was kneeling down just in front of me, woo hoo!) I have a "report" of my experience in Word format if you'd like me to e-mail it to you. Cheers, Jo

Hi Bobbi and Chiara!
Well, welcome aboard. To be honest, I started this group because I was amazed that no one else had and did not expect to see it mentioned in a leading newspaper!!LOL
I just want to support Dan because I am guessing he is probably feeling a bit intense about going to Broadway. I am also organising a group of people that I know to all be in NY at the same time so that we can go see the play and send the fan love. So handy that Dan is going to be performing in NY because I have never been there and it gives me one hell of an excuse to go.

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this group which I expect will get busier as we get closer to opening night. Thanks for dropping in.
