- About Me:
- Hi! I'm Courtney Anderson, and I am 15 years old. I have been acting, singing, and dancing for as long as I can remember. Performing on Broadway has always been my lifelong dream. In fifth grade, I was in a musical called "Once Upon A Mattress" and I starred as Princess Winnifred the Woebegone. If you don't know what "Once Upon A Mattress" is, it is a spoof on "The Princess and the Pea". Last summer, I was in "Godspell" with the Augusta Players Youth Theatre, and I played Joanne. My freshman year of high school, I was in Shakespeare's comedy "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and I played the role of Hermia. Just recently, I performed in Disney's "High School Musical 2" with the Augusta Players Youth Theatre. I played Blossom, a Sharpette. My favorite musical would have to be "Shrek the Musical" with Sutton Foster as "Princess Fiona". my all-time favorite musicals would have to be "Rent", "Chicago", "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty and the Beast", "Little Women", "The Book of Mormon", and "Wicked". In 8th grade, we performed an "On Broadway Revue" directed by my mom. I starred as Millie Dillmount in "Thoroughly Modern Millie", Fiona in "Shrek the Musical", and Velma in "Hairspray". I have performed in so many shows that I can't even name them all. I am actually right now in the Augusta Players Mainstage produstion of "Jospeh and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", and I will be playing a dancer. I am very excited about my future as an actress, and hope to fufill my career on Broadway! :)
