I first saw Chicago when I was in college. I went to New York with my brother and his girlfriend and we had to beg him to go. Well, he finally gave in and not only did he love the show, he bought a T-shirt on his way out! And remember, he was COMPLETELY against seeing it! I love the sexiness of the dancing in the show and its overall tone and sense of humor, not to mention the brilliant simplicity of its staging. Favorite character has to be Mama Morton, but I'm also a Velma Kelly guy. Love Amos and even did my best version of "Mr Cellophane" in a college musical theater revue. I often recommend this show to friends, pleading with them to see the actual show and not settle for the movie. Loved the movie, but nothing beats seeing this one live and in person. Plus, the movie ditches a few of my Velma's songs! That's just WRONG!
Saw the show Friday night at the charter theatre, preston, with Marti pellow reprising his role as Billy Flynn. It was absolutely fantastic!!!! I have wanted to see it for years (its my fave), and i finally got to see it as a birthday pressie from my hubby, and i was not disappointed!!! Man, Marti can sing!!! and you would never guess that Emma Barton who played Roxie has never had any formal training - she is amazing and a fantastic singer!!! Thank you so much for such a great show, and for making my birthday so very special!!! Cant wait to see it again soon!!!! The BEST show EVER!!!!!!
I love Chicago, I saw it in 2007 with Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin. BEST THING EVER! my first broadway show, such an entertaining storyline, choreography is fantastic. playing roxie is on my bucket list now
I've only seen this amazing show once but I loved it! The set was simple but it still amazes me how much they were able to do with just a few ladders and curtains. I definitely plan on seeing this one again in the near future :) If you haven\\\'t yet seen this show, I definitely recommend it!
If you’re looking for razzle-dazzle entertainment…
If you’re looking for a night out at the theater you’ll remember for years to come…
If you’re looking for pure Broadway… then look no further than CHICAGO!
A true New York City institution, CHICAGO has everything that makes Broadway great: a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz; one show-stopping-song after another; and the most astonishing dancing you’ve ever seen.
No wonder CHICAGO has been honored with six Tony Awards®, two Olivier Awards®, a Grammy and thousands of standing ovations.
It’s also no surprise that CHICAGO has wowed audiences all around the world, from Mexico City to Moscow, from Sao Paulo to South Africa.
But the hottest place to experience it is on Broadway. And here’s the best part: You never know who you’re going to see here, though it’s always someone amazing. From Melanie to Brooke, from Usher to Huey, there’s always someone fabulous center stage.
Whether you’re looking for your first Broadway musical… whether you’ve seen the Academy Award®-winning film and want to experience the show live on stage… or whether you’ve seen it before and want to see recapture the magic, CHICAGO always delivers.
CHICAGO is a classic. It’s the show you can always count on to give you the goosebumps, thrills and memories that only come from seeing a Broadway musical.

Love Bryn Dowling. I first saw her in the opening number of the Tony's, the year The Producers won. Since then, I have seen her in everything she's done except The Frogs. When is Bryn going to record an album?
Interesting that the original production, back in the mid-1970s, ran less than 2 and a half years, and lost money...even when Liza Minelli, with an orange wig (or did she do a dye job?) replaced Verdon, who was taking a well-deserved vacation. Ann Reinking finished out the run, wearing a platinum blonde wig.
