- About Me:
- Camp Broadway is Broadway's original summer camp for theatre-loving kids! Since 1995, Camp Broadway has trained children ages 6-18 in singing, dancing, and acting - developing their confidence, presentation skills, creativity, and knowledge of the theater. Camp Broadway is perfect for students who want an intensive musical theatre experience in a condensed time period! Students take master classes in singing, dancing, acting and theatre arts taught by Broadway professionals. Summer 2011 New York City session dates are June 20-24; July 11-15; and August 1-5 Check our Web site for cities near you!
Camp Programs: Camp Broadway Ages 10-17
Camp Broadway enables theatre-loving kids ages 10-17 to develop their confidence, character and presentation skills through ensemble performance. The package includes: 5 days (40 hours) of instruction in singing, acting, and dancing by trained Broadway professionals; master classes with Broadway artists; Q&A Sessions with industry professionals; a backstage seminar with a production crew, a Times Square luncheon; and a matinee ticket to a Broadway show. The program culminates in a special on stage performance for family and friends. Campers are separated into two rehearsal groups by age. Open to all skill levels; no previous experience is necessary to enroll.
Camp Programs: The Next Step Advanced 15-18 year olds
Students who have prior theatre experience are eligible to select our most challenging, more individualized coaching program, The Next Step. These students will enhance their individual talents through one-on-one coaching and small group work in a variety of performance areas. They will take master classes with Broadway professionals, attend an award winning Broadway show, enjoy meet and greets with Broadway stars and showcase their individual talents for friends and family at a professional New York City theatre.
Camp Programs: Shining Stars Ages 6-9
Shining StarsSM encourages children ages 6-9 to discover their artistic voice through creative play. The package includes: 5 half-days (20 hours) of instruction in singing and dancing taught by trained teaching artists; workshops in costume construction and scene painting; costume and art supplies. The program culminates in a special studio performance for family and friends. No previous experience is necessary to enroll.
