Broadway Horoscopes - August

Broadway Horoscopes - August

Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Mercury will slow down and turn retrograde on the 20th in your house of money matters, Leo, so be ready! You’ve been guilty of over-spending on theatre tickets recently, and a reversal of fortune may be just what you need to stop—or at least slow down a little. Don’t worry though, your funds will only dry up for three weeks, after which you can stop worrying so much about saving and head back to the theater—just be careful this time! Let your thriftiness lead you to see Secrets of the Trade and Avenue Q. Power Days: 3, 13, 16

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Both Uranus and Mercury will turn retrograde for you this month, Virgo, Uranus on the 13th and Mercury on the 20th, affecting your house of relationships. Someone or something from the past will try to reenter your life, possibly an old flame, a show you thought was over, or a role you played in the past that you have the opportunity to revisit. Make sure you are open to the possibilities of revisiting the past. You could bring something new to the role, the show could mean something new this time, and the old flame may have something new to offer. Let the possibility of this second chance lead you to see Mamma Mia! and A Little Night Music. Power Days: 5, 6, 15

Libra (September 23 - October 22)
With both Saturn and Mars in your house of personality and appearance this month, Libra, your social calendar is going to explode. Make as much room as you can for the shows you are in, the theater you will see, and the opening night parties you’ll be invited to attend. It seems as though all of your friends are in shows this month as well, so you better plan ahead and make sure you can attend all of them because they are all coming to your show to see you! Also make a little room this month for trips to the theater to see Lend Me a Tenor and Million Dollar Quartet. Power Days: 9, 17, 23

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
It’s reunion month, Scorpio, with old friends and colleagues returning on the 20th when Mercury turns retrograde in Virgo and your house of gatherings and friendships. The cast of your favorite theater experience will be getting together again, either to reminisce about old times or to put on another show. Make sure you join the fun and keep your eyes open—Uranus will enter your house of love affairs on the 13th, and someone you weren’t thinking about romantically at all will return and become something more. Let old friends and new prospects lead you to see Phantom of the Opera and Our Town. Power Days: 6, 7, 21

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
Wild and audacious Jupiter is traveling through your how of lovers, Sagittarius, which means you’re going to go a bit crazy when it comes to love and relationships this month. You’ll be taking a lot of risks and chances, which in some cases will get you what you want and in other cases will get you in a bit of trouble. Make sure, though, that you are taking just as many risks on the stage as you are off, and your theatre career will grow. Let your courage in love lead you to see South Pacific and Memphis. Power Days: 2, 3, 17

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
Your productivity level will be off the charts this month, Capricorn, as small but powerful Pluto moves through your house of personality and appearance. Not only will you be in a show but you’ll find the time to produce, direct, and write it as well. You’ll get another burst of energy on the 16th, when Saturn and Jupiter join Pluto, and you might just go on huge round of auditions and start a brand new project. Make sure to cool off in the theater, though, and let your energy lead you to see West Side Story and Jersey Boys. Power Days: 2, 16, 26

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
The sun is in Leo and your house of relationships this month, Aquarius. Combine that with Jupiter being in your house of conversation, and you’ve got a month full of fun projects and friends. You’ll also fill the role of mover and shaker when it comes to getting these fun projects off the ground, and your bubbly personality should make that aspect easy. Not only will you be in a new show, but you’ll be responsible for getting everyone to come see it, as well! You’ll also enjoy great times with friends this month, so let the celebration lead you to see American Idiot and Fela! Power Days: 4, 5, 16

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
You’ve been stuck in the past for a long time now, Pisces, and it’s time to move on. The end of summer can get you down, but make sure you are excited about all the possibilities ahead. There are many new shows on the horizon and a lot to audition for. You may not feel it yet, but the planets are all aligning for you this month, and by the time it’s over you will be so busy you won’t even remember what made you feel so stuck. Let the excitement of end-of-summer possibilities lead you to see Rock of Ages and The Addams Family. Power Days: 3, 14, 15

Aries (March 21 - April 19)
You’re going to get whatever you want this month, Aries, so make sure you wish for something good. All your planets are aligned, with Mars in your house of work and Jupiter moving through your sign. If there’s a part you have always wanted to play, you’ll find an audition for it and get the part. If there’s a show you’ve always wanted to see, you’ll find yourself with tickets. Celebrate your good fortune at the theater with Promises, Promises and La Cage aux Folles. Power Days: 14, 15, 28

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
A secret backstage romance is in the stars for you this month, Taurus, as the Sun, Mercury, and Venus will all move through Virgo and your house of lovers. You may not want to let this secret out, but you’re in close quarters both onstage and off. Your romance is bound to be exposed sooner or later. When you have a free moment, sneak off with your date to see Come Fly Away and A Little Night Music. Power Days: 3, 13, 16

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
Friends and family will be wanting large amounts of your time this month, Gemini, and you will only have so much time to give. August may mean vacation, but you’ve got a lot going on, finishing up a Summer show and preparing for a new one in the Fall. With Aries in your house of groups, your friends will want to see every show possible with you, and once Mercury turns retrograde on the 20th, your family will want to take you on theatre excursions as well. Try to balance the love and see In the Heights and The Lion King with both friends AND family. Power Days: 2, 11, 17

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
The universe is going to throw a lot of curve balls at you this month, Cancer, testing your resolve. Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn are all battling it out in your sign, so the best thing to do is stay calm and deal with each one at a time. This is also the month to make a huge change in appearance—you know you’ve been thinking about it for a long time! Take the plunge and reward yourself with new headshots and a trip to the theater. Let your new you lead you to see Wicked and Love, Loss, and What I Wore. Power Days: 9, 10, 26
