My Life is a Musical (the Musical)

Life without musicals would be like life without icecream, sunsets, or warm embraces. It would still exist, but what would be the point? ("Life Without Musicals")

Fortunately for Grace and Rose, they don't have to worry about that. Unfortunately, the musicals seem to have taken over their lives. Grace has begun to sing in moments of heightened emotion, though she doesn't know why ("These Words I Can't Control"). She can't stop the songs from coming out of her mouth! An orchestra has started to follow her around and create the mood music for her life ("Creeping Me Out"). She knows she's in for trouble when she and her best friend, Rose, fall for the same guy.

Logan is dashing, suave, and the most popular guy around. He meets Grace first and asks her out to dinner, then begins to flirt with Rose ("Perfect for Me"). Rose and Grace are both convinced that the other is trying to steal Logan away ("Better than That"). They connive and plan to get the upper hand, though both end up being duped when they catch Logan kissing Britney ("Manwhore the Song").

The girls indulge in a chocolate and sappy film fest ("Casablanca in Carbohydrate Form") and make up, realizing that their friendship is worth more than any stupid guy ("Better than That (Reprise)"). They are interrupted by their neighbors, Michael and Noah ("Hey Girls with the Chocolate Bars"), who take them out for a night on the town. They end up seeing their favorite Broadway show and realizing that it isn't so bad to be living in a musical ("Life With Choreography"). Noah and Michael take the girls home, and when Noah tries to kiss Grace, she realizes that she can't say anything ("These Words I Can't Control (Reprise)"). Her orchestra has disappeared and her life in a musical is over. She and Rose go inside and turn off the lights, and the orchestra appears. Finally the rest of the cast appears on stage, and Grace and Rose discover that even if they aren't living in a musical, musicals are still a big part of life ("Life Without Musicals (Reprise)/Finale").
