Most performers scoff when they are asked this simple question:
“Do you have a performing business
or a performing hobby?”
The answer is usually a vociferous - “I have a Performing Business!” Then, typically, this response is followed by a verbal laundry list of workshops they have taken, classes they are involved with, the new headshots they just duplicated, etc.
Well, that certainly handles the “Performing” side of the equation…which then leaves us with the “Business or Hobby?” portion of the question.
Before the knee-jerk response happens and you say “Business” answer these questions:
