Jasmine Hare

Which Disney movie should they make into a musical next?

I know The Little Mermaid was silly and everything, and Disney is just relying on a base of fans that they already have for their shows, but I still like them. So what should they do next? I really would love to see Hercules. It's one of my favourite Disney movies, and the movie already had some Broadway stars, Lillias White and LaChanze!

Also, The Jungle Book would be awesome. And strange.

Hercules gets my vote. but I'm pretty sure that within the next few years we need to be keeping an eye on a long lost Disney movie.

I expect Newsies to make it to the stage within the next 5 years. I believe Disney is waiting for the movie to completely disappear from pop culture (what little know of it) and introduce it as a new and fresh idea for a new generation.
I actually saw Newsies done by a local community theatre group in my area. I think they adapted it for the stage themselves, but it was still pretty good. I haven't seen the movie, but I want to.
I love Hercules, but I can't see it having a very good turn-out. My vote is for Pocahontas, with Aladdin as a close second. Those I think would do well (especially Aladdin).
Hercules would be awsome!!
Honestly, I think they should do Enchanted. That would be so good!!
I second Enchanted and Wall-E!
I want to see Wall-E done as a ballet the way that Edward Scissorhands was done a couple of years ago.
I vote Newsies.
I like the ideas of Hercules, Pocahontas, The Prince of Egypt, and Anastasia being musicals. I would love to see Toy Story made into a musical. By the way, The Little Mermaid was so not silly! I loved it, and not only because I am a fan of Disney shows.
I think if they put High School Musical on Broadway, it would bring in gads of money. I mean, it's already been done in regional theatres, right? Not saying they SHOULD, but...it would probably profit.

Also-- I can seen Aladdin working, but I can see it being very The Little Mermaid-esque.

Also again-- Is Winnie The Pooh Disney? If so...
Are you talking about an actual Broadway cast for High School Musical? Because they had a tour cast already.
All I really said was that it would profit well on Broadway. Personally, though, I think it should stay far, far away.
