OK, a theater near me is doing auditions for Suessical Jr. on the 11th. I really want the part of Mayzie or preferably, the Sour Kangaroo. I have the voice for it (or at least, I think I do) but I'm up against college-level performers. Plus, I am NOT the best dancer to hit the stage. Any tips?

Whoa, your situation brings certain spring awakening songs to mind.
Huh?
I did Mayzie my junior year of high school...she requires A LOT of out going ness (if that is a word).... You must show the judges that you aren't scared of doing different things. Do Not worry about dancing abilty and don't let it stop you...GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Thanks! (And yes, outgoingness is a word.........I think)
Sooooooooo, how have rehersals gone? Have you found out what part you got?
She got a Bird Girl
Well learn what you can from bird girl and make sure to be remembered by the prodcuers and director. If they like you, they usually try to reuse people they like. Its also usually something better.

In the between time just try out for other shows to get experience, take some dance classes and try to get a feel for what your strenghths are.

If anyone tries to go "juest remember there are no small roles.... punch them in the face, those pricks usually got a better part. You tell them to back off.
I was the Sour Kangaroo in our production of Suessical. You know that girl or guy in school that is really snobby and mean. Be like them but multiply it by 100.
She already tried out and got a bird girl
