The Gingerbread Lady - My schools spring play

I personally haven't read this one by Neil, but I did love all of his others. Yet someone told me this is adult themed.... At my school we have been doing some heavy stuff, never comedy. We are currently doing Rent and I think we are going to ruin this musical =/ We just cannot connect. Last year we did Spitfire Grill. So what is Gingerbread Lady about??

Haven't read it, either. But my suggestion is the best way to find out what it's about is to pick up a copy at the library and read it.
