So does anyone know if you can get the rights to perform the 1994 Revival version of Grease that starred Rosie O'Donnell, Megan Mulallay, and Hunter Foster? I LOVE that version and the new score including a few new songs sound like they would be so much fun to sing and dance to! And pluss they cutt out most of the language for that version. I was just wondering if they ever released the rights for that version or not? Does anyone know?

I believe all copies of Grease come with sanitized lyrics, though I don't know how much in the script/score they actually changed in that production. I know they cut the Alma Mater (sacrilege) and I think they added in "Since I Don't Have You" as a show-offy number for Sandy (why?).

But, to the specifics, no I don't think you can license the '94 revival. But, in any event, the original is not that different (and I, personally, don't see how the changes helped the show).
Thanks you are always alot of help on here!
I'm not sure what the deal is on that version. But I was the original Production Assistant on the show and have to tell you that it was a blast to work on. Megan kept everyone laughing on stage and off. You just knew she was going to go on to be huge.
