Have you ever had a run in with rude theatre goers. It can be on here or anywhere.
Share your stories.

My story is on here there is a girl who say she can't exactly "tolerate" homosexuals. So I cammented on here page and said basically that that was not cool and it was disrespectful and a good percentage of the theatre community is homosexuals.
Then she comments back on my page and call me a homosexual and I should enjoy my wife. I found that uncalled for. One your on broadwayspace it's not cool so many people you can offend by saying that. Two you don't go around calling people gay. Three on 13fans she called a guy a fag because he didn't agree with her ( I stood up for the guy then she called me a fag too... hmm) . She needs to get a new hobby broadway isn't for her.

Tell me your stories people!

Haha, okay, thanks guys. I'll eat during intermission and then put it in my bag. I would hate to distract anyone. I take my theatre very seriously, I wouldn't want to take away from someone else's experience.

Thanks for being so nice about it.

And yeah, ORLi, I have! Such a good show.
Yeahh! I had suchh a great time at that show! it was hilarious! and mostly theatre humor, my favorite type of humor! =)
I know this is so petty, but I have to voice frustrations... I know its NO fault of people, but when I went to see August in Feb (hehe) there were people coughing and sneezing the whole time. I know people can't help it, but it was frustrating because August is such an intense play, and it would take me out of the moment when I would hear people hacking up lungs.

But again, I'm fully aware that people have no control of that, so it doesn't make them "rude theatre goers", but it was still very frustrating.
I completely understand. During Equus there was constant sneezing and coughing for three scenes straight, literally. Then it kind of died. But it was so frustrating! It's annoying, but you can't be mad because they can't control it! Very frustrating.
What I've noticed about coughing is that it's just like yawning. If you hear someone clearing there throat, you automatically do the same thing.

And yes, I've noticed this during a show. :|
Texting!!!! just about every show i've been in, everytime there was a blackout, you see lights of a cell phone and people staring down at them!!! WTF!!!!???? Go home!!!
Oh, I KNOW!!! I hate when people do that! like, honestly..its a 2hr 45 minute show...fucking put down the phone.
It's insulting. We're working so hard to entertain you and you're not even watching the show.... just... GRRAAHHH!!

I've also seen shows and people next to us are texting the entire time and at the end they're like "I didn't understand what was going on half the time.." and i'm like : | ??? >: [
In West Side Story, there was a scene when Tony and Maria were in bed together...not doing anything, just laying there. When the lights went up, everyone was yelling and "woo"-ing. I found it very disrespectful, inappropriate, and just plainly immature. However, it didn't ruin the show for me at all, it was just irritating in that moment.
That is really obnoxious! Luckily when I went no one did that. That's awful.
When I saw Phantom up in Sacramento last June, the guy next to my mother was sleeping the whole time, so he had a really expensive nap, so annoying. Luckily I was sitting a couple seats away from my mother so the guy's snoring wasn't bothering me, I didn't know he was asleep until afterwards, haha.

And then when I saw Wicked in Los Angeles I saw people walking around in gym shorts and the like. Its live theatre, try to dress like it.
Well THERE'S a fun fact I didn't know! I'm totally going to use that. Not that I've ever had to deal with anyone talking on their phone at a show. But just in case, now I know!
