What shows that haven't yet hit the Great White Way are you looking forward to?  Mine are:

Wonderland- Basically a reincarnation of Alice in Wonderland.  An over-worked but accomplished mother living in the city goes on the quest to find her run-away daughter-- in Wonderland!  Sounds kind of bad, I know, but from the reviews and videos I've seen, it looks AMAZING!

Bare-  Probably the show I'm looking forward to the most.  Sort of a forbidden love story-- between two guys.  And one of them is a jock, which, face it, isn't done a lot!  Seems like it will break stereotypes, and every song I've heard has had so much energy, and emotion, and meaning, and all of them are fantastic!

Vote!-  Think Tracy Flick.  Pretty much a musical on the ups-and-downs of high school, shown during an election to student government.  If you look on youtube, you can find both Allison Case of Hair (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dwrESNzGNw) , and Andrew Keenan-Bolger (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9HADXZV-cw) singing songs from it.  There are rumours circulating that AKB may be attached, and I KNOW he was in a workshop of it, along with many of his Battery's Down co-stars (Jake Wilson, Nina Sturtz).  To hear songs : http://www.myspace.com/votethemusical

Bunked: A Camp Musical-- A musical that "follows the story of 5 young summer camp counselors as they embark on their first taste of adulthood. Fatal secrets, impassioned jealousy and
triangular love trysts surround the teenagers, all made more pressing as
the end of the summer approaches.".  Again, AKB and his fellow Battery's Down Co-star/Les Mis' and Legally Blonde's Cortney Wolfson are rumored to be involved.  Recently, there was a concert version.  Actually, their website recently posted a video of Wolfson absoloutely ROCKING their song "Self-Fufilling Prophesy" on youtube, from their concert. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-TF44PlQuA&feature=player_embedded

Are the rumors of Bare coming to NY? I have not heard anything, and I think I would have, considering all the Bare freaks I know.

I'm looking forward to American Idiot, mostly because a friend of mine is obsessed and I really respect her artistic opinion.

I'm also interested in Pop! because of a NY Times article I read (I'll try to find it) and because I think a character like Andy Warhol lends himself to theatricality.
Well, those are the rumours on Bare that I've heard, lol!

American Idiot! I had completely forgotten about that one. Yeah, I've heard it's like nothing ever done in theatre before.

And I haven't heard of Pop! Care to explain the plot to me?
It's a musical based on the life of Andy Warhol, the pop-art icon. You've seen his stuff even if you don't know you have. Here's probably his most famous: http://www.cvm.qc.ca/mboudreault/Images%20Jpeg/Andy%20Warhol,%20%20...

Here's the NYTimes review of the Yale production: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/09/theater/reviews/09pop.html
And here's the article I read that got me interested: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/29/theater/29pop.html

Are you sure this is a new rumor that Bare is coming to NY? There have been rumors about it opening on Broadway since the second it closed off-Broadway. I don't think there's anything new on the horizon for Bare at the moment, though I could be wrong. It is enjoying a good deal of success regionally.
Oh, yeah! Andy Warhol! Isn't he also the guy who did that picture of the Beatles? We had to learn to make pictures like his in Computers class. The image I chose was the cover of the Hair revival cast recording, lol!

Oh my god! That "Pop!" show seems fantastic! I can't wait to see more of it!

Yeah, that's what I've heard. My friend Ali went to a Matt Doyle concert and that's what he hinted at.
andy worhol <3
American Idiot! Definitely! & I love EDGES but I dont think that coming to Broadway, I would really love for any Pasek & Paul to come to Broadway, I love their music!
I adore Pasek and Paul as well! I find them fantastic! And, what is EDGES about? It sounds great!
im always terrible at explaining show plots, i tend to confuse people. There are some really great EDGES videos on you tube though, the songs are amazing! Here are a few links:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL4BgOf2LDE (Aaron Tveit sings Along The Way, one of my personal favorites from the show)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYcbG5vvOJg (This one's called In Short)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9ZASp66pFk (Like Breathing)

And theres MANY MANY more great ones of youtube, hope you enjoy these!
Oh my God! They're really good!
Those are 3 of my favorites! Look up Ready To Be Loved too, that's probably my favorite one.
There are a bunch of videos of it on youtube. Alison Porter's version is my favorite, Lilli Cooper's is really good too.
there is no show plot, orli. its a song cycle :)
