Voice Type - Coloratura mezzo-soprano (can go pretty low too hence the mezzo part ;D)

Low like - im not that girl Wicked

High like - Think of me Phantom of the Opera

Not auditioning for a role, just trying out for a show choir. Dancing and singing (all smiles and stuff)

Personality - idk really kinda outgoing and bubbly but i can also be shy i guess..

Specifics - the song we audition with has to be either broadway or Disney. If from broadway it shud be well known but not something thats overly done. One of my ideas was to do On My Own from les mis but i felt like it was too repeated.

Thanks so much for ur answers/suggestions :D

She's a baby in the vocal world I'm guessing... Pleaseeee don't suggest belting. (Firm believer that a girl should not begin to train for being until 16, as her voice is maturing.)
Omigod, really? REALLY?! I JUST told you in your other thread where to go for this! Oye vey, child! (I'm not even Jewish.)

Go there! God, there must be some way to sticky that thing....
It is sticky. It's the first thread on the main page.

In any event, given what little information you've given us, I'd suggest "One Hundred Easy Ways" from Wonderful Town or "I'm Heading Back" from Bells Are Ringing.
Personality? I suggest you go as yourself. If you're a confident person, then that will really get you noticed by the conductor or choir moderator.
Broadway or Disney... hmmm. Don't do anything that's still on Broadway or something that came out on Glee.
Focus on your higher range. Frustrating on getting those low notes will just confuse your voice. I honestly think you're more of a soprano than a mezzo.
How old are you btw?
lol i kno i am a little young but im 14 :p
but its not like im un-trained
ive been singing since second grade and ive had vocal coach since eighth grade...
:]
Oh, haha! I wasn't saying I thought you weren't trained. I actually assumed you were really really trained. I suggest you ask your vocal coach what songs you could sing. None on us here have heard you sing so we can't really tell you anything that we'd be sure about.

Young? Young is good! 14 is actually a great age to get exposed in show choir. I joined a professional choir when I was 15 and I was the youngest there (they were all in their 20s). I left after a while, but it looks good on my resume coz our conductor is the assistant conductor of our country's best choir.

You should really try Ashley's link. It really helps.. www.musicaltheatreaudition.net :D
oh i kno i tried! but most of the songs there didnt actually fit was i was looking for D:
What kind of broadway song do you want? And how do you sing? Operatically? Or rock? Or what>
hmm idk something like on my own from les mis
but its rly overly done at auditions
and my voice is more contemporary stuff
i can sing alot of stuff like country rock etc
At your age... hmm can you sing Home from the Wiz? Or Home from Beauty and the Beast. Both nice songs...
oh i kno i wanted to do home from beauty and the beast but we just did the musical last summer and i auditioned for belle and got callbacks and evrything and i dont want to annoy them u kno?
and i'll look into home from the wiz :D
