Laura Bell Bundy Returns to BLONDE...Temporarily

Since Legally Blonde has such a following on BroadwaySpace I thought it be nice to inform you all that Blonde's original Tony-nominated star, Laura Bell Bundy is temporarily joining the national tour of Legally Blonde, which is currently in Washington DC.

The tour's lead, Becky Gulsvig broke her toe and will be out for an undisclosed time and the production apparently is very low on actors (many others including Rhiannon Hansen & Natalie Joy Johnson are currently out as well) so LBB has stepped in.

One of the MTV reality show's runners up, Lauren Zakrin has been playing Elle since Gulsvig's injury.

Laura Bell begins performances January 13th when the show moves to Michigan.

does anyone know how long like the ending tour date because i am going in may. i would love to see her in it again!!!

The tour itself ends somewhere in the fall, so far, but LBB is only supposed to be in it until the end of the houston run in Feb. Are you going in Chicago in May? I'm really excited for it to come here...

For those of you who are looking to see Laura, she's supposed to be with the tour until the end of the Houston run (the end of Becky's scheduled vacation weeks before she returns), but LBB will be out for a week to judge the Miss America Pageant.

Also, I'm pretty sure Lauren is going to be doing all of the matinees, if not some other evening shows, so if your heart is set on seeing LBB, I would call the box office to see if they know if anyone is scheduled to be out.

I personally would LOVE to see LBB again and want to drive down to St. Louis on the weekend of the 30th (my only weekend without college auditions; it's fate!), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she'll be on! Don't get me wrong, I love Becky as well, but I'll get to see her when the tour comes to my city in May, so seeing Laura would be SUCH an awesome experience! :D
