Just a quick question for audition song choosing.

OK Here's the situation. I'm going to be auditioning for "The Producers" in June 28 or 29 and I'm a little lost on what song to use. I'd like to be Carmen Ghia, and I think I'll have smooth sailing when it comes to cold readings and (yikes) dancing. I've narrowed down my selection to a coule of songs, here they are (I only get 32 bars from each)
She's A Woman: Kiss of the Spider Woman
Let Me Entertain You or Some People: Gypsy
The Best of Times
La Cage Aux Folles
Look Over There: La Cage Aux Folles
I've Written a Play: On The Twentieth Century
If you have anything better, I'll gladly consider. Remember I am looking for some thing funny, which is way I'm leniant on "She's A Woman" and something that can show off my range. I'm thinking something by Cy Coleman or Jule Styne will work too.

Thanks for the Advice, Anita (though most of the time your opinions cause me to explode from an overload of knowledge, I do care about what you have to say.) I was thinking La Cage would be definitely befitting for the role I want, but I didn't want to really make it seem labored as to what part I want.

I got the part of Carmen! So excited, and I used something from la Cage! It went over so well! thanks everybody!

Carmen is a REALLY fun role. I was ensemble and Carmen's undertsudy in a produvtion of the producers, and it was SO fun. Keep It Gay is my favortite number in the show.

"Tony, Tony, Tony, Tony, Tony"

(you'll understand that once you rehearse that song)
