is it wrong to ask directors if they can reschedule a callback for you?

I was called back for my community theatre's production of Camelot, but i am unable to make the callbacks because of another show that i am in. Is it wrong to contact them and ask if i could come in early before and do my callback?Or maybe ask if i could work something out with them? or would that upset directors?
I've worked with these people before, but i was just wondering if it is something i should do. I really would like to make this show.
Thanks!

I'd ask if you could come in early and do it due to your conflict.
I don't see anything wrong with that. If you were like, "Ooh, yeah, I made plans to hang out with my friend then," that would be a little obnoxious. But especially if it's because you're in another show right now. I'd say, "Is there another time you can see me?" and be extremely flexible with the rest of your schedule, so they don't get frightened that you're gonna pull some kind of stunt during rehearsal. Let them see that you are dependable, you just have this one conflict you can't get out of.
yea orignally the callbacks would have been the following monday, but instead changed it after i got the callback a week after i knew the les miserables show dates.

thanks! :)
