I went to NYC for the first time in July, and I loved it. I saw Shrek the Musical, 9 to 5, and Rock of Ages. Probably the worst choice of shows I could've picked, but hey, at least I saw SOMETHING on Broadway haha.
Well I am most likely going back early next year so I was wondering what shows I should see.
I'd like to see: Finian's Rainbow, Chicago, Bye Bye Birdie, and Burn the Floor.
Has anyone seen these shows? Are the good? Any other recommendations?
Thanks!

I Would say Chicago and Next to Normal!!!
I Saw BBB..................HORIBLE!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Mom & Dad went to Finian's Raindow, They didnt like it very much, and Burn the Floor was ok, (Im more of a MUSICAL person so that wasnt my cup of tea!) BUT, Chicago WAS AMAZING, I saw it for my birthday when Samantha Harris was in it, and she was REALLY good, surprisingly!
But Next To Normal is REALLY good, and most people skip over it when looking for musicals to see, which is really sad since this musical is like the best one out there so i think you need to see that!!!! and another one you MIGHT think about is South Pacfic, unless youve allready seen that, If you havent check it out! its also really good!
Hope This Helps, But What ever you do end up seeing, just have a great time!
I would reccomend Billy Elliot! It was the best show I have ever seen! even when I was talking to people at the stage doors of other shows who asked what other shows I was seeing said it was great! The talent is fantastic, the score is excellent and it is a show I will remember forever!! I thought Shrek was pretty good, and West Side Story was amazing, and Bye Bye Birdie sounds OK. But by far Billy Elliot was my fave! I can't wait to see it again!
I am seeing Billy Elliot when it comes to Chi-town.
I'd go see Next to Normal and, I know this will get some laughs, but Marry Poppins.
It was super amazing; i had to take my little cousin to see it this past summer. I mean, come on, the lead tap danced and sang while upside-down on the celing. And everyone was soo good. It's not just a kids show, and I'd recomend it to everyone.
Oh my gosh, I saw that when the national tour came to Chicago, and Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee (I believe they originated the roles on B'way) played Mary and Bert. I thought it was excellent.
I agree. I thought it was a lot of fun!
I would recommend
NEXT TO NORMAL*
IN THE HEIGHTS
RAGTIME
Would I be kind of young to see N2N? Everybody On BWAYSpace, reviews, etc have said it was AMAZING, but I am 12...
I was really underwhelmed by it....so I guess go for it but don't have medium-high expectations.
I was wondering why I would be young for it? Like sex, language, etc.
I know there is some language, and the mom has depression, I'm pretty sure.
The shows I am DYING to see right now are Hair and Next to Normal. If you haven't already, go see In The Heights as well!
