Practice and patience. If you're young, watch how much you belt and how high. (Belting a B3 is low for a belt... that's a low B... And a C4 is Middle C)

* I'm at D5 or on a good day, E5... Which is one key under the High F, the "deFYing gravity..." in Defying Gravity from Wicked.

Tips my teacher tells me- focus your sound to the tip of your nose, like there's a laser beam coming out of the end of it. Or imagine you're putting your sound through a pinhole, so it's very focused.

High belting is tough and takes a LOT of support, but also confidence that you can hit those high notes.

I wouldn't call it "easy" per say, as I know MANY girls who cannot just get the idea of belting around their head.

Start by belting SAFELY with a teacher who knows how to properly teach the technique.

FYI Aaron, NOT everyone can belt a C4, or belt AT ALL. I can mix, to a decent note, but belting has never been my thing; I know how, I just can't belt high, it takes A LOT of practice with a coach I don't have. I can mix to a C4 so it sounds almost like a belt, but have a very low threshold when it comes to singing in my chest voice.

For future reference please don't make assumptions like that. Everyone's voice is different.
