Can someone tell me the difference between the Regular "Annie Get Your Gun" and the Revival? I'm am helping a local High School who is going to be doing the show and they are trying to figure out which is best for High School. Any info you can give me would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

From what I can tell on the R&H website, the main difference is that the Peter Stone revised script is more PC than the original. As I remember when I saw it, "I'm an Indian Too" had been cut, along with a few other small things. I'd suggest getting the perusal script for both and seeing which one you prefer.
The script for the 1999 revival was made to be more "politically correct" than the original. Our high school just did the revival version, and though I personally think a "show within a show" theme is a little tacky, it worked well for a high school production.
Can someone tell me what the story within the story for the revival is? That whole idea confuses me. I was in Annie Get Your Gun three years ago and I think the version I was in the original version.
There is no story within a story. It's just a bunch of actors who open the show singing "No Business Like Show Business" and then they put on Annie Get Your Gun. No additional story. They just made cuts to make it more PC, as I mentioned, "I'm an Indian, Too" being the biggest cut.
oh okay. I was slightly confused because my broadway musical book mentions something about a script with a story with in a story so I wanted clarification on if there was one.
