Cats is What I lable as BAD. It has no plot ( a chorus line is the ONLY show that gets away with no plot, and A Chorus line does have a little plot (and revues)) Something creeps me out about paying money to see grown adults dress up as cats and touch people in the audience. It is an embodyment about everything that went wrong in the 80's. On top of that, It is one of those horrible surface shows like wicked and legally blonde where people say "Look at me, I'm different, I like musicals. I like Cats and Wicked and Legally BLonde", when really, all us die hard musical fans want those people do drop dead. Besides, CATS shouldn't have ANYthing to do with the history of AMERICAN musical theatre. And don't even get me started on how much I DESPISE Andrew Lloyd Webber. Phantom Sequel? I think not.
it has a story behind it u arent reading enough into it to find it, trust me ive been watching and going to see this show since i was five i know sooo much about it it is rediculous.
Unneeded.

I kinda like CATS... Odd but the music, dancing, and costumes and makeup are nifty.
Although I wouldn't want it back on Broadway, and I wouldn't say I actually like it, it is kind of fun to do 80s aerobics to Jellicle Cats. That being said, the overall show bored me to tears (the recording).
they might bring it back in 2012 for its 30th anniversary doubt it but they might, Broadway has moved away from shows like cats i mean stilla great show and it will be atop the longest running list for a long time as Number 2 but a revival would just fall like a ton of bricks. Cause they would change it most definatly
Cats is no longer number two. I think it might be number three by now, but Les Miz surpassed it.
no les mis ran 16yrs Cats ran 18 cats is still number 2
I would be amazed if they brought the show back to NYC in 2012.
I'm amazed that you brought this thread back in 2010.
lol...
I want the Cats to come back!!
I wish someday! Cause Cats rocks)))
