I've never really been to broadway, unfortunatly. I've never seen a real show, just whatever Musicals our High School does [and there have been alot!]
I like to watch different coverages on TV and stuff, but its not the real thing.

I'd love to go see Wicked, and Grease. Even High School Musical :)

Anyway, if you haven't actually been to see a show post here, and tell us how you figure out what their stories are.

i live in California, and i've never been to new york...but i WAS lucky enough to see Wicked at the Pantages theatre in LA.
The first time I went to NYC was at the age of 23. It was my first trip on a plane, and the few other vacations I've taken since are always back to NYC. I go, see as many shows as I can pack in, go through all the Broadway-themed and music stores and love it.
Wow, amazing. Almost Jealous ^^;;

I am starting somewhat of a collection of CDs from Shows ;o

Thats as close as I can get till I can go to the City myself.
I actually didn't discover Wicked until my drama teacher played For Good as a good bye song for the seniors in the class. then she gave each of the seniors a goodbye gift on our last day. every one got a book of a different play, except me. she gave me the CD for Wicked because I had loved the song so much. Then I went onto the internet to find out what it was about and found a few videos on YouTube. I've never seen a professional show either. I REALLY want to go see Wicked. Its so close to me right now. I am a mere forty minutes from boston \but I don't have the money to get tickets for the show. Pure torture.
I haven't been fortunate enough to see a Broadway show in NY, but I have been able to catch a few shows when they tour. For those that aren't able to make it to NY, I think local shows are a great way to see musicals, and to feed your love of theater.
My aunt won't take me to Boston. And I don't have $25 anyway. I am pretty sure they are lottoing the night I want to go, though. Victoria and Christinas last. So sad. I can't even bare to listen to my Wicked CD right now because I am already a little depressed about not getting to see it. But there's always NY. I live about four hours from there.. I think.. not sure.. okay, i am just babbling now.
I live in Indiana, and would love to get to New York to see a show or twenty, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. We do have the national tours here every year, and I have had the oppurtunity to see a few like Miss Saigon, Jekyll and Hyde, and Mamma Mia, but I would love to go see the shows on Broadway. While the tours are good, there are just so many shows that either don't tour or don't come around here.
two of my friends have been to NYC and each saw 3 shows and took a million pictures. my god, im so jealous of them. i live in ohio, and we were about to go to see phantom of the opera this summer (OMG MY DREAM lol) but then my mom said it was too much money. gaaaah. but then i went to pittsburgh and saw cats, cuz jacob brent was in it, who was mistoffelees from the cats movie, and he is my fav dancer, so its almost as cool as NYC....

ive also seen wicked in chicago, which was really cool too. but not as cool as new york...

i dont think i'll be going anytime soon, though. and at the BEST time too. my favoritest ppl ever are there right now: John Owen Jones (les miz), Michael Gruber (a chorus line), Roger Bart (young frankenstein), and Howard McGillin (phantom) ugghhh
Im planning a trip next year, but im wondering which shows to go and see.
i doubt i would be disapointed though whichever i choose.
I never been to see Broadway, but I'm lucky enough to live next to a wonderful community theater, I get to see great preformances there. My school also does great plays, so thats a plus. =]
i haven't been there or seen a show. i wanna go really badly, tho. but, I HAVE been on bradway (i think).
we're seeing Spamalot in DC the weekend before Christmas next month, but that's probably the closest I'll get to seeing a show on Broadway.
oh, and i've seen a show off-broadway.
I've never been to a show.
And my school has practcially NO drama department and the schools supposed "theatre teacher" doesn't teach her class! So yeah, I really haven't been able to do ANY theatre.
