Wicked, The Movie!!!!

Idina Menzel announced last night @ her concert in Atlanta, Georgia, that they r going to turn Wicked, the star stunning show, into a movie. Yes Wicked is going to be a movie!!!
They announced this week to do the show to put it on the silver screen! Is anyone else excited?!!! They do not know who will play Elphaba, but Idina said she may be in it. WooHOO!!!

but prob not its soposed to come out some time in 2013 so she might be to old to play a collage student but man i wish she did beacuse if she didnt i wont go see it

filming could start early, though... as soon as a screenplay is written and the movie's been casted...

That is sooo awesome!!! My friends and I were talking about how they should make Wicked into a movie. I just hope they don't ruin it. It's such an amazing piece of work and I am tres tres excited that they are making it into a film!!!

I agree. They better not ruin it. And Ashley Tisdale probably doesn't have the range to pull of Glinda.
They have to get an amazing director if they wanna do it right.

Oh no!! That would be so awful and gross. I cringe thinking about it. Eww the whole HSM cast as the cast of Wicked. Zac as Fiyro, Vanessa as Elphaba, Lucas as Boq, etc........I'd wanna punch someone too.

A friend told me they are considering Laura Bell Bundy for Glinda and Rosario Dawson for Elphaba. I think that would be cool casting. I'd like the original cast but I do think they are too old. I think it would be cool if they brought Idina back but made her Madame Morrible instead. You know, with a little make-up. Though I know that will never happen.
